Terms and Conditions
Certified Gadget Repair's Terms and Conditions exist to ensure our customers that CGR will meet or exceed expectations in service and potential problem resolution. The Terms also help to educate our customers on the sending/receiving and repair process.
Backup Device Before Repair
When a device is received by CGR it is to be a clean device, meaning that regardless of the manufacturer it should have a fresh install and not be locked. A device with a locked code may be delayed and as such a device cannot be tested and the repair warranty will be limited. Our Quality Assurance team checks many features before processing, this includes cameras, touchscreens and microphones. Our team cannot access these features for testing when a device is locked by the original user. If a device is received by CGR and is locked for inspection, the customer may be contacted, possibly adding to the total repair time.
When possible, get your device repaired quickly by backing up your data and restoring your device before submitting to CGR. To backup your device follow the instructions below.

You must include a referencing document to your order number for CGR to properly and timely identify your device before repair. Failure to include a reference to your order number may result in a delay in the repair of your device.

You authorize CGR technician(s) to perform repair work on the electronic device. You understand that CGR technicians have been trained to perform work on electronic devices but CGR is not an authorized Apple, Dell, Samsung or similar service dealer.
I agree to release, indemnify, and hold CGR from liability for any claims or damages of any kind or description that may arise from any repair work performed on my electronic device, unless it is caused by negligence of CGR or its agent.
I understand that CGR is not responsible for any data loss, which is extremely uncommon but may occur as a result of work done on my electronic device. I also understand that I have the option to, and I am responsible for backing up the device before allowing any repair to be performed on my device in the event of any data loss and hardware or software failure.
I understand that CGR technicians will thoroughly inspect my device upon receipt to identify any unclaimed damage that may have occurred to the device. Should a device be found to have additional damage, CGR will not be liable for those damages to the device. Should a device not fully power on at the time of submission, CGR cannot be held responsible for additional damages which could not be tested in advance.
I understand that CGR will not browse through any personal, private or confidential information or data; however, technicians may inadvertently see data during the course of their work. I understand that any confidential data (such as device wallpaper selection) should be removed from the device prior to having repair work performed on the device.
I understand that repairs or technical support performed by CGR may void manufacturer warranties. CGR and its affiliates do not assume any liability or warranty in the event that the manufacturer warranties are voided but may, at its discretion, offer its own warranty on the parts and/or services performed.
I understand that in order to successfully test functionality of a device, CGR will need to be able to access my device. By opting out of providing my pin/password, I understand that CGR may not be able to properly diagnose or test my device during or after repair. By opting out, I hereby release CGR of any liability for damages that could not be tested upon the initial inspection or during repair.
Repaired devices are guaranteed to function at time of shipment. If the device experiences the same malfunction within 90 days of a repair, CGR will repair it again at no cost. Additional malfunctions or malfunctions after 90 days are not guaranteed and will be handled individually. Physical or liquid damage voids all warranty. All devices unclaimed after 30 days become property of CGR.
